MEET THE TEAM
THERAPIST
Samantha Carter, LCSW
Hi, I am glad you are here! My name is Samantha.
If you are a high achiever that struggles with perfectionism and wants to understand how your past has impacted you, you are in the right place. I work with teenagers and adults my aim is to support you in reducing your inner critic and connecting you to your own inner wisdom.
Beyond traditional talk therapy methods, I offer brainspotting and EMDR to identify and release core sources of emotional pain and trauma. Brainspotting and EMDR are a powerful brain and body-based methods that uses eye positions to process trauma and regulate the nervous system.
I believe that the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Know that I will allow you to set the pace for the healing process and meet you where you are at. Also, know that I am just as human as you. I am walking beside you on a life-long journey of inner work. So far, some things I have learned are:
Trust your intuition
Achieving does not eliminate shame
I already have everything I need within me
Just because I am programmed to believe it, does not mean it is true
Time and space are the most valuable gifts
I'd be honored to know YOU! What are you dealing with? Are there parts of your story you want to heal or make sense of? Are you looking for a voice?
Kindly,
Samantha

You’ve done your best to cope, but your body still feels on edge, shut down, or easily overwhelmed. Past experiences continue to show up in ways you don’t always understand, especially in relationships, anxiety, or self-trust. Therapy can help your nervous system feel safer so real change can happen.
I’m Mindy Morgan, a MSWi and Licensed Social Service Worker (SSW) in Utah. I love people, and I truly care about my clients. I am told I am easy to talk to and connect with, and that I am genuinely compassionate. My style is warm, collaborative, empowering, and grounded in research-based treatment.
I am Korean and was adopted at six months old into a multi-racial family. I am in an interracial marriage of 22 years and am a parent of biological and adopted children of multiple races. This has provided me with a unique relatability in helping to support clients who are navigating identity, belonging, grief, and attachment related to adoption and complex family dynamics.
I specialize in OCD, trauma, anxiety disorders, adoption-related concerns, family systems, and trauma-informed care, but I have experience treating a wide variety of clients from different backgrounds and diagnoses. I use evidence-based approaches, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT-informed strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI), among others. I am currently completing training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a brief, trauma-focused modality. I have experience providing care in homes, residential treatment settings, intensive outpatient programs, and community environments, which allows me to understand clients holistically and meet them where they are.

You don’t have to have it all figured to start feeling better. At the heart of my work as a therapist is a deep care for people and the belief that healing happens through authentic, compassionate connection. I believe that having a supportive space to explore your inner world and process emotions is a crucial part of learning how to care for and accept yourself. I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, and major life transitions. I have significant experience supporting LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients and am committed to providing culturally informed care for underserved communities.
My approach is collaborative and flexible. I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-focused therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you and look at different perspectives to help you move toward a life that feels more manageable.
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming and even scary, especially when you already have a lot on your plate. You don’t have to figure it out alone. If you’re looking for a supportive space to better understand yourself and move toward what matters most to you, I’d be honored to connect.

Do you have a never-ending reel of doubts and criticism running through your mind? Are you constantly replaying conversations? Criticizing yourself for what you said (or didn’t say) Wondering what you did wrong (or should have done)? Imagining the worst-case scenarios that could arise from the slightest error? This is the never-ending “noise” of anxiety. It stems from a variety of causes, such as negative thought patterns, perfectionism, long-term stress and uncertainty, growing up without emotional support, traumatic events, and many more. Whatever the cause, this non-stop narration is exhausting, which only adds to your distress.
We all have messy story reels to share, each with their supporting cast and setting. Life transitions, chronic stress, family dynamics, relationships, anxiety, grief, loss, and trauma are just a few. Therapy helps us find the plot holes in our narratives, fill in the gaps as needed, and learn to rewrite our stories with understanding and self-compassion.
With an integrative mix of Cognitive Behavioral therapies, (CBT, DBT, and ACT) somatic work, and Exposure Response Prevention, we’ll address thought distortions, difficult relationships, and viewing trauma as backstory. Let’s work together to discover what’s missing, define your strengths and values, and expand your focus to ease your anxiety reel.
